BEYOND VEGAN: What Happened To Brooklyn Born Mini Market?

In Jan of 2018 Alkaline Eclectic Society founders Kelly Keelo and Crush Foster partnered with a local Brooklyn grocery store called Brooklyn Born Mini Market 2 conveniently located at 140 Stanhope St in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY. The location has permanently CLOSED.

It was a beautifully designed store with incredible offerings seldom found anywhere else in Brooklyn. The intent of the partnership was to make foods from Dr Sebi’s Nutritional Guide more available to the Alkaline community. There were Alkaline Herbs available on site and the community showed huge support from all over the country and in some cases overseas.

Even with the success of this venture the lead partner, Ruben lost his mother around the holidays of 2018. Dealing with loss and other personal issues it was in his best interest to discontinue the store and focus on his personal health and his family indefinitely. We support this decision and keep Ruben and his family in our thoughts.

Thank you to the Alkaline Eclectic Community for the love and support. It was our pleasure to secure a space for our events, teaching and taste testing of alkaline foods. It was truly an empowering place because of the energy provided by all of you and we look forward to sharing more resources and opportunities with you in the near future.
