This Sea Moss is harvested off the coast of Honduras near Dr. Sebi’s home, Usha Village. It comes in a variety of colors, from golden to purple, can be made into a gel and blended into liquid form for drinks, soups, baking and smoothies.

Gracilaria ( Honduran Sea Moss) is a related species to Chorus Crispus ( Irish Sea Moss) that can be found in warmer waters. The plant is long and thin with hair-like strands. The color can range from a light golden color all the way to a dark purple and even blue.

Most people say that Dr Sebi mentioned only Chondrus Crispus (Irish Moss), but he actually regularly described the characteristics of Gracilaria (long thin strands). Click here to see a video of Dr. Sebi discussing Sea Moss.

The two species are not one in the same – but are related.

One species is not necessarily better than the other and both have been advocated by and used by Dr Sebi.
